Melissa Wong
Solutions Manager

Melissa works with AUT researchers to develop industry partnerships and grow professional consultancy and contract research opportunities that create impact beyond the University.

Prior to joining AUT, Melissa was a consultant at BioPacific Partners, where she advised public and private sector clients on the commercialisation of research, innovation, and emerging technologies. Before this, she worked at Lincoln Agritech, supporting researchers to deliver government-funded research programmes and commercial consultancy projects for industry.

Drawing on experience across New Zealand's research and innovation ecosystem, Melissa enjoys connecting researchers with external partners and helping translate research and expertise into practical, commercially relevant outcomes that benefit industry and society.

Melissa holds a Bachelor of Technology (Biotechnology), a Postgraduate Diploma in BioScience Enterprise, and a Master of Science (Microbiology) from the University of Auckland.
