Rick Ellis

Rick Ellis is a Professional Director and has had extensive CEO and senior executive experiences across multiple sectors and countries. Prior to returning to Auckland to live in May 2020, he was CEO of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand based in Sydney, before that CEO of the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa, and before that Group Executive of Telstra Media based in Sydney. Rick previously served a cumulative total of 10 years as CEO of TVNZ and 25 years in the IT industry in NZ and the United Kingdom.

Rick has long been a supporter of digital/technology start-ups and established Accelerator programs for digital start-ups in Sydney in 2013 (Muru-D) and Wellington in 2015 (Mahuki). He now also serves on the board of The Icehouse and is Board Chair of Dexibit.
