Haere Rā | Farewell to Rick Ellis

This whakataukī speaks to the idea that with the right support, resources, and guidance, potential can take flight. For six years, Rick Ellis has provided exactly that kind of strategic support to the AUT Ventures Board.

This month, we bid farewell to Rick as he steps down from his governance role. Having a director of his calibre, drawing on his extensive executive leadership across media, technology, and national institutions, has been a tremendous asset to our team. Rick's sharp commercial acumen and practical oversight have matched his passion for expanding the important role that universities play in a successful innovation ecosystem.

We want to formally acknowledge and thank Rick for the significant time, energy, and expertise he has generously shared with us. He leaves AUT Ventures in a strong position, and we are deeply appreciative of the momentum he has helped build.
