US Patent for Biosensors

We’re celebrating a significant milestone for Professor Andrew Lowe and his team from AUT’s Institute of Biomedical Technologies.

Since being awarded $8M from the MBIE Endeavour Fund in 2019, Andrew and his IBTEch team have been dedicated to developing easy-to-use, noise-free, long-term wearable biosensors. Over the past few years, Tom McLeod and Cindy Luo have collaborated with Andrew to validate the market, determine the business strategy, and secure intellectual property protection.

All their hard work and perseverance has paid off having just received the issue notice for their patent application in the US, with more jurisdictions expected to follow.
